We Are
Our Story – A Family's Journey to Transform Tragedy into Purpose
In 2012, our world changed forever when our three sons and cousins—Archie, George, and Isaac—were diagnosed with a terminal disease. Following Archie's death in 2022 at just 16 years old, his courage and determination to live fully became the foundation for what DETERMEND represents today.
His twin brothers, George and Isaac, will turn 16 this year. Every day with them is a gift, and every day we work to build something that honours not just Archie's memory, but the thousands of families walking similar paths.
DETERMEND wasn't born in a boardroom. It emerged from the darkest moments of our lives. Following Archie's death at 16, we faced a choice: let grief consume us, or channel it into something that could help other families walking the same impossible path.
DETERMEND exists because it had to. And now it exists for YOU.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Determend platform ("Platform", "Site", "We", "Us", "Our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Determend is a purpose-driven fundraising and community platform supporting charitable causes, community initiatives, and impact-led campaigns. We provide tools that enable users to create fundraising campaigns, support verified causes, share stories and build community, and purchase products where applicable.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information, keep your login details secure, and be responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Determend acts as a facilitator between donors, fundraisers, and charities/causes. We do not own or control the charities listed, guarantee the outcome of fundraising campaigns, or take responsibility for how funds are ultimately used.
We may request documentation to verify identity, authority to raise funds, and charity or organisation status. Failure to provide required information may result in suspension of campaigns or withholding funds.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

This Privacy Policy explains how Determend collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our platform. By using Determend, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Determend is a fundraising and community platform supporting charitable causes, campaigns, and impact-driven initiatives. We act as a data controller for the purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We may collect: your name, email address, phone number, billing and payment details, address, account login details, and any information included in fundraising pages or messages. We also collect donation amounts, dates, and automatically collected data such as IP address, device type, and browser type.

At Determend, trust isn't a feature — it's the foundation. We know that when someone donates, they're not just giving money. They're giving belief, hope, and trust that it will make a real difference.
Donations are processed securely via trusted providers such as Stripe. Funds are transferred to the intended charity, trust, or organisation. We do not allow fundraisers to collect donations outside the platform.
We work with real people, real stories, and real challenges. Before funds are released, we may verify the identity of fundraisers, request documentation for charities or trusts, and review campaigns for authenticity.
We have zero tolerance for fraudulent campaigns, misuse of funds, and misleading information. We reserve the right to suspend or remove campaigns, withhold donations, and take further action where necessary.
