Born from loss. Built for hope. In 2012, our world changed forever when Archie, George and Isaac were diagnosed with a terminal disease. After Archie died in 2022 at just 16, his courage and determination became the foundation for DETERMEND. This was not born in a boardroom. It came from the darkest moments of a family’s life and a decision to turn grief into something that could help other families. DETERMEND is more than a company or a brand. It is a promise: to keep going, create practical change and help people facing the impossible.
Archie Naughton died from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 2022, aged 16. One of DETERMEND’s co-founders is his mother. Archie’s brothers, George and Isaac, still live with Duchenne—and they urgently need the cure Archie wanted for them.

DETERMEND was built to help turn that wish into action: to connect a worldwide campaign with charities, businesses, influential voices, funders and investors capable of accelerating the mission to end Duchenne.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Determend platform ("Platform", "Site", "We",
"Us", "Our"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About Us
DETERMEND is a purpose-driven fundraising, network and community platform supporting charitable causes,
community initiatives and impact-led campaigns. The Platform includes fundraising services, The Founding 16
launch network and The DETERMEND Map.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a
parent or guardian.
3. Accounts
To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and
complete information, keep your login details secure, and be responsible for all activity under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Nature of the Platform
Determend acts as a facilitator between donors, fundraisers, and charities/causes. We do not own or control
the charities listed, guarantee the outcome of fundraising campaigns, or take responsibility for how funds are
ultimately used.
5. Fundraising & Donations
All donations must be made through the Platform and its authorised payment providers (e.g. Stripe).
Funds raised are transferred to the designated charity, trust, or organisation.
Fundraisers must not collect funds outside the Platform in connection with campaigns hosted on Determend.
Donations are generally final.
6. Verification & Compliance
We may request documentation to verify identity, authority to raise funds, and charity or organisation
status. Failure to provide required information may result in suspension of campaigns or withholding funds.
7. The Founding 16
The Founding 16 is a limited launch programme with 16 displayed spaces in each category. Selecting a
number or submitting an expression of interest does not reserve or guarantee a space. A place is confirmed
only when DETERMEND approves it in writing.
8. The DETERMEND Map & Shield
An approved organisation may be displayed on The DETERMEND Map with a DETERMEND Shield. The Shield identifies an
approved DETERMEND network listing. It is not government approval, regulatory certification, investment
advice, a financial guarantee or a guarantee of future conduct.
9. Applications & Launch Availability
Launch categories, checks and capacity may evolve. Applicants must provide accurate information and may be
asked for supporting documents. Full network and map terms are available on our legal

17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the relevant
courts.
This Privacy Policy explains how DETERMEND collects, uses and protects personal data. We process personal
data only where there is an applicable lawful basis and for specified purposes described in this policy.

Determend is a fundraising and community platform supporting charitable causes, campaigns, and impact-driven
initiatives. We act as a data controller for the purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What Information We Collect
We may collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and payment details, address, account login
details, campaign information, donation information and technical data. Founding 16 expressions of interest
collect only a full name, email address, category and optional numbered launch space. See the full Privacy Policy for purposes, lawful bases, sharing, retention and rights.
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion,
restrict or object to processing, data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact: info@determend.com
The Founding 16 has 16 launch spaces in each category. An application or numbered-space selection is an
expression of interest and does not guarantee acceptance.
The DETERMEND Shield
The Shield identifies an approved DETERMEND network listing. It must not be presented as statutory
accreditation, charity-regulator approval, investment advice, completed due diligence or a guarantee.

Full name, email, category and optional space number are used to review and respond to expressions of

Trust & Transparency
At Determend, trust isn't a feature — it's the foundation. We know that when someone donates, they're not
just giving money. They're giving belief, hope, and trust that it will make a real difference.
1. Where Your Money Goes
Donations are processed securely via trusted providers such as Stripe. Funds are transferred to the intended
charity, trust, or organisation. We do not allow fundraisers to collect donations outside the platform.
2. Supporting Real Causes
We work with real people, real stories, and real challenges. Before funds are released, we may verify the
identity of fundraisers, request documentation for charities or trusts, and review campaigns for authenticity.
5. Taking Action Against Misuse
We have zero tolerance for fraudulent campaigns, misuse of funds, and misleading information. We reserve the
right to suspend or remove campaigns, withhold donations, and take further action where necessary.
